My name is Greg Stinsa, and I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you a bit about me and how I became a beer can collector.

 I am happily married to my wife and beer can collecting partner, Christina.  One great thing about my job is that I regularly travel all over the US on business, and this has helped me immeasurably in the hobby of collecting beer cans. It means that if I find a can or collection I want, I will often visit the seller's location and simply buy the can or collection right on the spot!  As you can see, I take my hobby very seriously!   

I began collecting beer cans around the time of the nation's bi-centennial celebration in 1976.  I was just a teenager then, attending junior high school in the Midwest.  A lot of kids and grownups were collectors then... in fact it was almost as popular then as collecting sports cards is now!  When I left to attend college in the '80s, I boxed up my collection and left it at my parent's home for storage.  During college, and for about six years after college, I completely lost interest in collecting beer cans, and I simply spent time starting my business career. Then, while on vacation one summer, I wandered into an antique store and found a cache of beer cans from the '40's.  I bought those beer cans on the spot, and found myself hooked all over again!  I had rediscovered the wonderful world of beer can collecting, a hobby full of wonderful people with great traditions.

My vintage beer can collection has grown immensely over the years and now numbers several thousand cans.  I collect beer cans from all over the world.  I stick mostly with Flat Tops and Cone Tops, but I am always interested in any old or rare beercan from just about anywhere. Not sure what I mean by "Flat Tops" and "Cone Tops"?
